About the Role

Our client, a leading sports organization based in Edinburgh , is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Elite Sports Performance Analyst . This critical role will involve providing in-depth data analysis and strategic insights to support the performance of elite athletes and coaching staff. You will utilize cutting-edge technology and methodologies to gather, interpret, and present performance data, identifying key trends and opportunities for improvement. This position requires a sophisticated understanding of sports science, data analytics, and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations that directly impact competitive success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze performance data from training and competition using various analytical tools and software.
• Provide detailed reports and presentations on individual and team performance to coaches and athletes.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to track progress and effectiveness.
• Utilize video analysis techniques to provide tactical and technical feedback to support player development.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate performance analysis into training and game strategies.
• Research and implement new technologies and methodologies in sports performance analysis.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Sports Science, Data Analytics, Performance Analysis, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in performance analysis within elite sport.
• Proficiency with performance analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Sportscode) and statistical packages (e.g., R, Python).
• Strong understanding of biomechanics, physiology, and tactical principles in relevant sports.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
