Supporting both the Civil and Military markets in the UK, Ireland and across sub-Saharan Africa, the company's UK facility in Fareham is the European Maintenance Centre Hub (EMCH) for the Safran Helicopter Engines group, performing level 1 to 3 maintenance/repairs on Arriel, Arrius, Makila and RTM322 engines either onsite or at our customers' facilities.
Alongside the EMCH and with a broad customer base in both the fixed wing and rotary wing markets, Safran's experienced team of technical and support staff are also committed to delivering excellence in the Manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of complex products such as air starters, air producers, auxiliary power units and oil pumps. We are very focused on delivering these products and services to meet all our customer requirements with particular attention to turnaround time performance.
As a Helicopter Engine Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of Safran helicopter engines. Working either at our Fareham facility or customer sites, you'll support engine evaluations, maintenance activities, fault diagnosis, component replacement and engine assembly, ensuring all work meets aviation regulations, quality standards and approved maintenance procedures.
Your Role:
Carrying out engine inspections, evaluations and maintenance activities. Diagnosing faults and identifying repair requirements. Performing engine strip, assembly and component replacement activities. Conducting borescope inspections, leak checks and functional testing. Recording maintenance findings and completing technical documentation. Supporting engine overhaul, repair and return-to-service activities. Ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, quality standards and company procedures. What You'll Bring:
Experience in aircraft or helicopter engine maintenance, repair or overhaul. Strong understanding of aviation maintenance procedures and regulations. Ability to interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation. Experience conducting inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement. High attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety and compliance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
