About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Installation & Maintenance Engineer to join their operational team in Leeds . This is a hands-on role focused on the precise installation, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of sophisticated industrial equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of performance and safety, and that regular maintenance schedules are adhered to, preventing costly breakdowns. Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure new equipment according to technical specifications and installation manuals.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct performance testing and calibration of equipment post-installation and after repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities performed.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies and procedures during all operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining complex machinery or industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, with excellent diagnostic skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., HND, HNC, NVQ) in Engineering or a related field are required.
