About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Estate Manager with a strong background in agriculture to oversee their extensive landholdings near Bristol . This senior position requires a comprehensive understanding of agricultural operations, property management, and financial oversight. You will be responsible for maximizing the productivity and value of the estate's agricultural assets, managing a diverse team, and ensuring compliance with all environmental and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the agricultural operations of the estate.
- Oversee all aspects of crop production, livestock management, and forestry activities.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and capital expenditure for the agricultural division.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of farm managers, supervisors, and workers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and agricultural regulations.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and local authorities.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in large-scale agricultural management and estate management.
- Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of UK agricultural practices, environmental legislation, and rural property law.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
