Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Exploration Geologist to join their expanding operations near Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for identifying and evaluating new mineral deposits, contributing directly to the company's future growth and resource pipeline. You will conduct detailed geological mapping, sampling, and data analysis, often in challenging field conditions. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geological mapping programs, surface sampling, and core logging for exploration projects.
• Interpret geological data, including geophysical surveys and geochemical analyses, to identify target areas.
• Manage and oversee drilling programs, ensuring accurate sample collection and data acquisition.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on exploration findings and recommendations.
• Maintain strong relationships with local communities and regulatory bodies during field operations.
• Contribute to the development of exploration strategies and target generation models.

Requirements

• BSc or higher in Geology or Earth Sciences.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on (specify relevant minerals, e.g., base metals or precious metals).
• Proficiency in geological software such as GIS , Leapfrog , or similar.
• Experience with various exploration techniques, including remote sensing and 3D geological modeling.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in remote field locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
