Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Exploration Geologist to join their team based in Plymouth . This role is focused on identifying and evaluating new mineral resource potential through geological mapping, sampling, and data analysis. You will be involved in all stages of exploration, from target generation to preliminary resource definition, working in diverse field conditions and contributing to the company's pipeline of future mining projects, collaborating closely with senior geologists and geophysicists to uncover valuable mineral deposits.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping and data collection in greenfield and brownfield exploration areas.
• Plan and supervise drilling programs, core logging, and sampling.
• Analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify and prioritize exploration targets.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing exploration activities and results.
• Collaborate with the exploration team to develop exploration strategies and budgets.
• Maintain accurate geological databases and contribute to resource modeling efforts.

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mineral exploration.
• Proficiency in geological mapping, logging, and sampling techniques.
• Experience with exploration software such as ArcGIS or similar GIS platforms.
• Ability to interpret geophysical and geochemical data.
• Good field skills and willingness to travel to remote locations as required.
