Farm Hand

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and hardworking Farm Hand to assist with daily operations on their farm near Liverpool, Merseyside . This entry-level to intermediate role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience across various agricultural activities, including crop cultivation, livestock care, and general farm maintenance. You will work under the guidance of the farm manager and experienced staff, contributing to the successful running of the farm within the agriculture and forestry sector. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, eager to learn, and capable of performing physical tasks reliably. This role is essential for the smooth day-to-day functioning of the farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, tending, and harvesting crops according to established schedules.
• Feed and water livestock, and assist with basic animal health checks and care.
• Operate and maintain farm vehicles and machinery, such as tractors and ATVs.
• Perform general farm maintenance duties, including fencing, cleaning, and site upkeep.
• Help with the loading and unloading of materials and produce.
• Follow all instructions and safety procedures diligently.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• A willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully.
• Basic understanding of farm machinery operation is an advantage.
• A full UK driving license would be an asset.
