About the Role
Our client requires a dedicated Field Support Engineer - Technical Installation to serve clients in and around Reading . This role is central to ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing functionality of our advanced technical systems across Berkshire . You will be responsible for on-site installations, critical maintenance, and troubleshooting, acting as the primary technical point of contact for our customers. The successful candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, a proactive attitude towards problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a field-based capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Execute precise installations of complex technical equipment and systems at client locations.
- Perform diagnostic tests and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure system uptime and longevity.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to operation.
- Document all service activities, findings, and resolutions accurately in the company's system.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify product improvements and share field insights.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a field service, technical support, or installation engineering role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or software components relevant to technical systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and service guides.
- A valid UK driving license and ability to travel within the designated service area.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client relations.
