Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Brighton . This senior role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and budgeting. You will play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring robust financial management. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Develop and maintain robust internal control systems and policies.
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and insights.
• Lead the external audit process and manage relationships with auditors.
• Provide financial leadership and support to the executive team and other departments.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting role, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel proficiency is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
