About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Leeds . This senior position demands a comprehensive understanding of financial operations, reporting, and compliance within a dynamic business environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring robust internal controls, and providing strategic financial advice to the board. The role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial performance. This is a key on-site role crucial for maintaining operational excellence and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's long-term goals.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and tax requirements.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare detailed financial analysis and reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with financial systems and ERP software.
