Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a data-driven and insightful FP&A Analyst to join their team, operating on a hybrid model based out of Stoke-on-Trent . This role will focus on providing critical financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning support to drive business performance. You will work closely with various departments to understand financial drivers, develop insightful reports, and contribute to key business decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, identifying key drivers and providing commentary.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support business unit leaders with financial insights and data to aid decision-making.
• Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and economic factors impacting the business.
• Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities and investment proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros) and financial modeling techniques.
• Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Cognos, Hyperion) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
