About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning Manager to lead their financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function from a remote setting. This role is essential for guiding the company's financial strategy, forecasting future performance, and ensuring robust budgeting processes. You will collaborate extensively with senior management and department heads to provide critical financial insights and drive informed decision-making. Working remotely, you will leverage advanced analytical tools and communication platforms to foster collaboration and deliver high-impact financial guidance to the organization, supporting its growth objectives in Staffordshire and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support long-term strategic planning and scenario analysis.
- Provide insightful financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and the board of directors.
- Collaborate with various business units to understand operational drivers and their financial implications.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial databases, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is advantageous.
