Flight Dispatcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Flight Dispatcher to join their global operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage flight operations from your home office. You will be responsible for planning and issuing flight plans, monitoring flight progress, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of all dispatched flights. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of meteorology, navigation, and aviation regulations, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. As a remote team member, you will be integral to maintaining operational continuity and safety for our client's fleet worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare safe and efficient flight paths, considering weather, airspace restrictions, and aircraft performance.
• Issue flight plans and operational instructions to flight crews.
• Monitor flight progress en route, making necessary adjustments to flight plans due to changing conditions.
• Provide flight crews with essential operational information, including weather updates, NOTAMs, and operational advisories.
• Liaise with air traffic control, operational control centers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth flight operations.
• Manage flight schedule disruptions and coordinate contingency plans in case of unforeseen events.

Requirements

• Valid Flight Dispatcher certification or equivalent license (e.g., EASA Flight Operations Officer).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in flight planning, dispatch, or operations control.
• Strong knowledge of aviation meteorology, navigation, and air traffic control procedures.
• Proficiency in flight planning software and systems.
• Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
