Food & Beverage Manager - Gastropub

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead the F&B operations of their popular gastropub in vibrant Brighton . You will be responsible for overseeing the bar and restaurant services, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, and financial performance. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage and motivate a dedicated team to deliver an exceptional dining and drinking experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring excellent service and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain high standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, and service.
• Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management for the F&B team.
• Control inventory, manage stock levels, and ensure efficient purchasing and cost management.
• Implement and maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards within the F&B outlets.
• Drive sales and profitability through effective menu engineering, promotions, and exceptional customer engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar Food & Beverage Manager role, preferably within a gastropub or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of beverages (wine, spirits, cocktails) and culinary trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability in staff management, training, and motivation.
• Experience with stock control, inventory management, and costings.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences in Brighton .
