A leading organisation delivering a major programme of works within a secure custodial environment is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor / Project Liaison to support the successful delivery of construction and infrastructure projects at HMP Hindley. Working closely with project teams, contractors and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to prison operations.
Your new role
As Site Supervisor (Liaison), you will act as the key link between the establishment, Tier 1 contractors, project delivery teams and future FM operations throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing local knowledge of the prison's existing M&E infrastructure, building services and operational constraints. Supporting mobilisation activities and engaging early with contractors and project teams. Coordinating access arrangements, operational interfaces and project planning activities. Monitoring governance processes and ensuring compliance with agreed procedures and standards. Providing technical input on asset integration, maintenance requirements and existing building services. Identifying and helping mitigate risks associated with construction works within a live custodial environment. Maintaining effective communication between the establishment, project stakeholders and FM teams to ensure continuity throughout project delivery. Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of works while minimising operational disruption.What you'll need to succeed
Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Construction, Maintenance, Engineering or Project Management. Strong understanding of M&E systems and operational building infrastructure. Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders within a complex operational environment. Experience working alongside contractors on refurbishment, maintenance or capital projects. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of project governance, compliance and risk management processes.Desirable:
Previous experience within a custodial, secure or highly regulated environment. Experience working on MoJ, Prison, Defence, Healthcare or other live operational facilities. Relevant FM, construction or project management qualifications.What you'll get in return
