Prospero Teaching is looking for a Functional Skills Maths Tutor to deliver engaging, tailored sessions to learners working towards improved numeracy skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Functional Skills Maths tuition at an appropriate level. Break down mathematical concepts into manageable steps. Develop learners' confidence with everyday numeracy and problem-solving. Prepare activities that reflect learners' abilities and individual targets. Review progress and adapt sessions accordingly.

Experience, Training and Qualifications: Experience teaching or tutoring Maths, numeracy or Functional Skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly. A relevant teaching qualification is desirable. A supportive, flexible and learner-centred approach.

To be eligible, the tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain the required clearance. Provide two professional references.
