Job Title: GCSE Maths Tutor Location: Denbighshire Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing

About the Role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a confident and engaging Maths Tutor to support secondary-aged learners who need additional help with their GCSE studies.

You will deliver personalised tuition to address gaps in knowledge, reinforce key mathematical concepts and improve learners' confidence in preparation for assessments and examinations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one GCSE Maths tuition Support learners with algebra, geometry, ratio, percentages and number Identify areas for improvement and tailor sessions accordingly Develop problem-solving and examination techniques Monitor progress and encourage independent learning

Experience, Training and Qualifications QTS, PGCE or equivalent relevant teaching qualification desirable Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum Previous teaching or tutoring experience Experience supporting pupils who need additional academic intervention Strong communication and lesson-planning skills

Essential Requirements Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain the required clearance Two professional references
