About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Games Tester to join their fully remote, dynamic QA team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and playability of our diverse range of video game titles. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and verifying bugs and other issues, directly contributing to a superior player experience. Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive test plans and conduct exploratory testing to identify software defects, functional issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Document all findings with exceptional clarity, providing detailed steps for reproduction and severity ratings using bug tracking software.
• Collaborate with game developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and perform regression testing to ensure overall game integrity.
• Provide qualitative feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface, graphics, and overall player experience.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of test cases and other QA documentation.
• Maintain proactive and clear communication with remote team members and project leads.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Games Tester or similar Quality Assurance role within the gaming industry.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for detailed bug reporting and remote team collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• A deep-seated passion for video games and familiarity with a wide array of genres and gaming platforms.
