About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join their progressive team in Leeds . This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to gain comprehensive experience across both site operations and design office environments. You will support senior engineers on a variety of infrastructure and construction projects, contributing to design tasks, site supervision, and project coordination. This is a perfect stepping stone for an early-career professional eager to develop their skills and build a solid foundation in civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with the preparation of design calculations, drawings, and technical reports for civil engineering schemes.
- Support site teams with technical queries, quality assurance, and health and safety monitoring on active construction sites in Leeds .
- Participate in site visits and surveys to gather data and assess site conditions.
- Help manage project documentation, including site records, progress reports, and material submittals.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively and efficiently.
- Undertake training and development activities to build technical competency and professional qualifications.
Requirements
- A recent degree (BEng or MEng) in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A strong academic record and a genuine passion for civil engineering.
- Familiarity with basic civil engineering principles and software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to undertake both office-based design work and site-based activities.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid UK driving license is an advantage.
