About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive and progressive Computer Science curriculum from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Computer Science teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing department.
• Promote digital literacy and computational thinking across the wider school community.
• Ensure the effective use of technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
• Organise and run extracurricular coding clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives to further engage students in Leeds .

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level, including A-Level.
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting.
• Deep understanding of current computing trends, programming languages, and educational technologies.
• Excellent communication, strategic planning, and motivational skills.
