About the Role
Our client, an innovative secondary school in Leeds , is seeking an inspiring and visionary Head of Computer Science to lead their rapidly growing digital learning department. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive and progressive Computer Science curriculum from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Computer Science teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing department.
- Promote digital literacy and computational thinking across the wider school community.
- Ensure the effective use of technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Organise and run extracurricular coding clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives to further engage students in Leeds .
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level, including A-Level.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting.
- Deep understanding of current computing trends, programming languages, and educational technologies.
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and motivational skills.
