Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Modern Foreign Languages department, setting clear goals and objectives.
• Develop and deliver an innovative and engaging MFL curriculum across all key stages.
• Manage and mentor MFL teaching staff, providing professional development and support.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department, implementing improvement strategies.
• Promote the uptake and enjoyment of foreign languages among students throughout the school.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in a Modern Foreign Language or related field.
• Proven experience in leadership within a secondary school MFL department.
• Excellent understanding of curriculum development and assessment in MFL.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
