About the Role

Our client, a prominent leisure and sports facility in Birmingham , is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Head Squash Professional to lead their squash program. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive range of squash coaching services, from beginner clinics to advanced player development, and managing the overall operation of the squash courts. This role is ideal for an inspiring coach who is passionate about growing the sport, building strong relationships with members, and maintaining the highest standards of court facilities and programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a diverse schedule of squash programs, including lessons, clinics, leagues, and tournaments for all age groups and skill levels.
• Provide high-quality individual and group squash coaching, focusing on skill development, strategy, and fitness.
• Recruit, train, and supervise assistant squash professionals and court attendants.
• Promote squash activities within the facility and community to drive participation and membership engagement.
• Manage squash court bookings, maintenance, and equipment inventory, ensuring a clean and safe playing environment.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the club, fostering a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all squash players.

Requirements

• Professional squash coaching certification from a recognized national or international body (e.g., PSA Level 2 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience, with a proven track record of developing players at various levels.
• Excellent knowledge of squash rules, techniques, and training methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with members of all ages and backgrounds.
• Experience in program development, event management, and staff supervision.
• A passion for the sport of squash and commitment to its growth and development.
