About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Healthcare Architect to lead significant projects from their esteemed office in Brighton . This role requires a deep understanding of the unique design requirements and complexities inherent in healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and research centers. You will be responsible for translating clinical needs into functional, compliant, and patient-centric environments. This is a senior position requiring proven expertise in healthcare design, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership within the specialized field of East Sussex healthcare infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with HTM/HBN standards and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals, hospital administrators, and technical teams to define project requirements.
• Develop innovative and efficient spatial solutions for clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Manage project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to budget.
• Oversee the technical detailing and documentation for healthcare construction projects.
• Stay current with advancements in healthcare design, technology, and best practices.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Architecture (e.g., RIBA or equivalent).
• Significant experience (minimum 7 years) specifically in healthcare architecture .
• In-depth knowledge of UK healthcare building notes (HBNs) and health technical memoranda (HTMs).
• Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural design software.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent understanding of healthcare operational workflows and patient safety considerations.
