About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations. This fully remote role is critical for maintaining the integrity and legality of our HR practices. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programmes, conducting audits, and providing guidance on HR-related legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional to specialise in compliance within a forward-thinking, remote-first organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HR compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure compliance with UK employment law and company standards.
- Stay abreast of changes in employment legislation and advise the HR team and management accordingly.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of data protection compliance (GDPR) within the HR function.
- Develop and deliver training programmes on HR compliance topics for managers and employees.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and concerns, ensuring prompt and appropriate action is taken.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR Compliance or similar role, with a strong focus on legal and regulatory adherence.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and data protection regulations.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and conducting audits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A legal or HR qualification, such as CIPD, is highly preferred.
