About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to oversee and enhance HR operations in Birmingham . This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our office, allowing for a balanced approach to employee engagement and operational oversight. You will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment legislation. This is a key position for an HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution, contributing to a supportive and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on disciplinary matters.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all UK employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comprehensive HR role, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Solid understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and HRIS systems.
- Experience in managing employee relations, performance management, and recruitment cycles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
- CIPD qualification preferred.
