About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead their Human Resources function in Newcastle upon Tyne . This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all HR operations, ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the department. You will work closely with departmental heads to implement HR strategies that support business growth and employee well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with UK employment law and company objectives.
- Manage employee performance and conduct investigations into grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Lead the recruitment and selection process to attract and secure high-calibre candidates for the Newcastle upon Tyne office.
- Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees, fostering a culture of open communication and fairness.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a comprehensive HR management role, with a strong understanding of UK HR legislation.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to build rapport with staff at all levels.
- A relevant HR qualification (e.g., CIPD) is advantageous.
