About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior role is critical in developing and executing HR strategies that support the overall business objectives, ensuring a smooth and efficient functioning of the HR department. You will lead a small team, manage HR policies and procedures, and act as a key point of contact for employees and management on all HR-related matters. This position offers the chance to significantly influence the HR function and contribute to the company's growth and success in the Tyne and Wear region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and procedures in line with business objectives and UK employment law.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage employee relations, providing guidance and resolution for performance issues, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, organisational development, and talent management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of professionalism and efficiency.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a senior HR role, such as HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law , HR best practices, and HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- CIPD qualification (Level 7 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing HR functions within a corporate environment in Newcastle upon Tyne .
