About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Officer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical in supporting the HR Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. You will be involved in a broad range of HR activities, from employee relations to recruitment and policy implementation, ensuring a consistent and supportive employee experience. This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to upholding high standards of HR practice within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Manage employee casework, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes.
- Support the recruitment and selection process, from advertising roles to onboarding new hires.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
- Maintain HR records and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of HR training programs for staff and managers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR Officer or similar HR generalist role.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and general office software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a busy office environment.
- CIPD qualification (Level 3 or above) is desirable.
