About the Role
Our client seeks an organised and detail-oriented HR Officer to provide essential support to their HR function in Cardiff . This role is integral to the smooth operation of HR services, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and assisting with HR projects. You will work closely with the HR Manager to ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company values. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain broad experience and contribute meaningfully to a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising roles to coordinating interviews and generating offer letters.
- Manage employee onboarding, ensuring all necessary documentation and induction processes are completed smoothly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Provide first-line HR support and respond to employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with the administration of HR processes such as payroll, benefits, and performance reviews.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR services and employee experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Assistant or HR Officer role is essential.
- Familiarity with UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficient in using HRIS software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
