Humanities Teacher

Applebough Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and versatile Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can bring two or more Humanities subjects to the classroom and enjoys inspiring students across a broad range of topics.

We’re looking for a teacher who can teach at least two of the following:

• History

• Geography

• Religious Education / Religious Studies

• Citizenship

The role

• Teach across your two or more specialist Humanities subjects

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Inspire students to develop their knowledge, understanding and critical-thinking skills

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage students of all abilities

• Monitor and assess student progress

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Humanities department

• Contribute to the wider life of the school

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• The ability to teach a minimum of two Humanities subjects

• Strong subject knowledge

• The ability to inspire and motivate students

• A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach
