PE Teacher – Specialist Provision

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time / Part-time Start Date: November 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable PE Teacher to join a specialist provision supporting post-16 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The role will primarily involve delivering engaging PE and sports lessons, while also supporting students across additional subjects where required. The successful candidate will be someone who can build strong, positive relationships with young people and adapt their approach to meet individual needs.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience teaching PE within a school or specialist setting

• Hold a teaching specific qualification

• Be confident and willing to teach additional subjects

• Have experience working with, or a strong understanding of, SEMH needs

• Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and supportive strategies

• Be patient, resilient and adaptable

• Be passionate about engaging young people and helping them develop confidence, independence and life skills

• Have the ability to build positive relationships with post-16 students

This is an excellent opportunity for a PE Teacher who enjoys working beyond a traditional classroom environment and wants to make a genuine difference to young people who may have experienced barriers to education.
