About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various facilities in and around Leeds . This role is vital for ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for building occupants, involving proactive maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and efficient system operation. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of HVAC systems, working autonomously to achieve high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, air handling units, and controls.
- Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of building environmental systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, service reports, and inventory of spare parts.
- Respond to emergency calls for HVAC system failures and provide prompt, effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations related to HVAC systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
- Relevant qualifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, or mechanical engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3).
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and building management systems (BMS).
- F-Gas certification is essential for handling refrigerants.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively across multiple sites.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with building managers and occupants.
