About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer to join their esteemed engineering practice in Edinburgh, Scotland . This role involves managing the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initial concept and design through to construction and handover, utilizing a hybrid working model that balances office collaboration with remote flexibility. You will play a key part in delivering innovative infrastructure solutions for a diverse client base, working closely with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Oversee the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, reports, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with internal design teams, external consultants, and construction contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and progress monitoring to ensure works are carried out in accordance with design and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and planning regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in common civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of project management principles and construction methodologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
