About the Role
Our client is searching for an experienced Industrial Efficiency Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This role is dedicated to enhancing the productivity and reducing the operational costs within the company's manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for evaluating current production methods, identifying areas for waste reduction, and implementing efficient process improvements. This is an ideal position for a proactive engineer looking to make a substantial impact on operational performance through expert application of industrial engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
- Implement Lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Develop and document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Monitor production output and quality metrics, intervening to address deviations.
- Lead small-to-medium scale improvement projects, ensuring successful implementation and sustainability.
- Work closely with shop floor personnel to gather insights and drive buy-in for process changes.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role focused on industrial efficiency or process improvement.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of production environments and challenges.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
