About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Efficiency to join their operations team in Nottingham . This hybrid role offers a dynamic work environment, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be responsible for analyzing operational processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Lean principles and a proven ability to drive measurable improvements in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing workflows and operational procedures to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement solutions using Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve workflow and reduce waste.
- Conduct time studies and efficiency analyses to optimize workstation layout and material flow.
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and other engineers to implement changes and ensure successful adoption.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency and cost savings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, with a focus on efficiency and process improvement.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen).
- Proficiency in data analysis and basic simulation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, effective in a hybrid work environment.
