About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Industrial Engineer focused on Operations Excellence to join their team in Norwich . This role is central to driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of quality and productivity across the organization. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process enhancement, implementing best practices, and ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is passionate about implementing sustainable improvements within a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Analyze existing operational processes to identify waste, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product or service quality.
- Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs ), and training materials.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance operational performance.
- Measure, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs ) related to operations excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial engineering or operations excellence role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, process mapping, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence change.
