Industrial Engineer - Process Improvement

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Industrial Engineer with a focus on process improvement to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical for optimizing our client's manufacturing and operational workflows, driving efficiency, and reducing waste. You will be hands-on in analysing current systems, developing innovative solutions, and implementing best practices to ensure seamless production and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous advancement within a tangible, industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement new process flows and operational strategies to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times.
• Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, and other lean methodologies to eliminate waste and optimize resource utilisation.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production teams, quality assurance, and management to implement and monitor process changes.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on process efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process improvement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and simulation software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
