Industrial Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Industrial Engineer with a strong focus on process optimization to join their manufacturing team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is essential for enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness of our client's production operations. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing data-driven solutions. Working closely with production staff and management, you will play a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the facility operates at peak performance, contributing directly to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new or modified production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for optimized processes.
• Collect and analyze production data to track performance metrics and identify areas for further investigation.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement changes and provide necessary training and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial engineering role focused on process improvement.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.
• Proficiency in using data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab) and basic CAD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
