About the Role

Our client requires an experienced Industrial Engineering Consultant to provide expert guidance on a project basis, working primarily from Cambridge . This role is focused on assessing current operational strategies, identifying areas for significant improvement, and developing actionable plans for enhanced efficiency and cost reduction. You will collaborate closely with management teams across various sectors to implement best practices in manufacturing, logistics, and business processes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of existing operational processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop strategic recommendations and implementation roadmaps for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
• Design and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma solutions tailored to client-specific needs.
• Lead project teams in the execution of improvement initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Provide training and coaching to client staff on new methodologies and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and automation solutions to support operational goals.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a significant portion in consulting roles.
• Proven expertise in lean Six Sigma (Black Belt certification required), process re-engineering, and project management.
• Experience across multiple industries and operational environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
