Industrial Engineering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their dedicated team in Cambridge . This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all industrial engineering activities, including process design, optimization, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles. You will set the strategic direction for operational efficiency, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of productivity and quality across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers, setting performance standards and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
• Oversee the design and optimization of production layouts, workflows, and material handling systems.
• Drive the adoption and execution of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with senior management to align industrial engineering efforts with overall business objectives.
• Manage capital expenditure projects related to equipment upgrades and process improvements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role.
• Extensive experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and process optimization.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive significant operational improvements.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in developing business cases for capital investments.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
