About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to join their operations team in Derby . This role is pivotal in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be involved in designing and implementing new production systems, analyzing performance data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining essential on-site responsibilities with the flexibility of remote work. The ideal candidate will be a proactive engineer with a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing operations to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost improvements.
• Design, implement, and validate new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce waste, improve flow, and enhance productivity.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with production staff, quality teams, and management to implement and sustain improvements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing or process engineering.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma concepts, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site and remote duties.
