Industrial Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Industrial Optimization Engineer to join their dedicated team in Cambridge . This role is focused on enhancing operational efficiency, improving product flow, and maximizing resource utilization within the company's industrial settings. You will be responsible for analyzing complex systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing data-driven solutions. This on-site position requires active engagement with operational teams to drive tangible improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing industrial processes, workflows, and layouts to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving material flow, space utilization, and overall operational productivity.
• Utilize simulation software and data analytics tools to model process changes and predict outcomes.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, improve quality, and streamline operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and management teams to define project scope and ensure successful implementation of optimized solutions.
• Develop performance metrics and monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of implemented optimizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering , operations analysis, or process optimization.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within an on-site team environment.
