About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Birmingham . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to oversee the development and execution of the company's security strategy, protecting critical assets and data. You will manage a team of security professionals, ensuring the implementation of effective security controls and compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Oversee risk management processes, including threat modeling, risk assessments, and the development of mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Manage security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to integrate security considerations into all aspects of the organization's operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in information security management , including team leadership and strategic planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications like CISSP or CISM are strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, including network security, data protection, and application security.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
