About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing the company's overall security strategy, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and IT infrastructure. You will manage a team of security professionals, oversee compliance efforts, and act as a key advisor to senior management on all matters related to cybersecurity, fostering a resilient and secure operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the management of security operations, incident response, and risk management programs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of information security specialists.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Manage the information security budget and vendor relationships.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in information security, with 3+ years in a management role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs .
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, threats, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with security audits and compliance frameworks is essential.
