About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to join their team in Cambridge . This role is essential for ensuring that all company operations and insurance products adhere to the complex landscape of legal and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing guidance to staff. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures across the organization.
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting the insurance industry and assess their impact on the company.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance standards and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters and ethical conduct.
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the insurance industry .
- In-depth knowledge of UK insurance regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA guidelines).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly.
- Proficiency in compliance management systems and standard office software.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) are highly desirable.
