About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to join their team in Liverpool . This role is critical in ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing the insurance industry. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and advising management on regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape of the insurance sector and a proactive approach to risk management. This hybrid position allows for close collaboration within the office while offering some flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance programs and policies.
- Monitor changes in insurance regulations and assess their impact on the company's operations.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Investigate compliance breaches and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and relevant authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance , risk management, or a related role within the insurance industry .
- In-depth knowledge of insurance laws and regulations (e.g., FCA handbook, Solvency II).
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certifications such as CCEP or equivalent are highly desirable.
