About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and internal policies within their Sheffield office. This role is vital for maintaining the company's integrity and reputation in the highly regulated insurance market. You will monitor compliance activities, conduct audits, and provide guidance to staff on regulatory requirements. Working as part of a dedicated compliance team, you will contribute to safeguarding the company against legal and financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret relevant insurance regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures across the organization.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters and ethical conduct.
- Investigate compliance breaches and manage remediation efforts, reporting findings to senior management.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a compliance, legal, or audit role within the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of UK insurance regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA requirements).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
