About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and vigilant Insurance Compliance Officer to join their team in Oxford . This role is essential for ensuring that all company operations adhere strictly to the complex regulatory frameworks governing the insurance industry. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies and procedures, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance on regulatory best practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance regulations and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Monitor changes in insurance legislation and regulations, assessing their impact on the business.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and regulatory obligations.

Requirements

- In-depth knowledge of UK insurance regulations (e.g., FCA Handbook, Solvency II).
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and audit methodologies.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Diploma in Insurance, ACAMS) is highly desirable.
