About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all regulatory standards within their operations in Wolverhampton . This role is critical in safeguarding the company against legal and regulatory risks by developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs. You will work closely with various departments to interpret regulations, conduct audits, and provide guidance on compliance matters. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of insurance law and regulatory frameworks, contributing to a culture of integrity and accountability within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures across the organization.
Monitor changes in insurance regulations and legislation, assessing their impact and ensuring timely adaptation.
Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance gaps.
Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and best practices.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, reporting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare regulatory reports.

Requirements

Proven experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the insurance industry .
In-depth knowledge of UK insurance regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA guidelines).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain complex regulations.
Experience in conducting audits and risk assessments.
Commitment to ethical conduct and maintaining confidentiality in Wolverhampton .
