About the Role

Our client is seeking a sharp and resourceful Insurance Fraud Investigator to join their dedicated fraud prevention team on a fully remote basis. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent insurance claims, thereby protecting the company's assets and policyholders. You will conduct thorough investigations, analyze complex data, and gather evidence to support claims of fraud. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively from home. You will contribute significantly to maintaining the integrity of the insurance business and minimizing financial losses due to fraudulent activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate suspicious insurance claims to identify potential fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Gather and analyze evidence, including reviewing documentation, interviewing claimants, and conducting background checks.
• Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, documenting findings and providing clear recommendations for action.
• Liaise with internal claims handlers, legal teams, and external law enforcement agencies as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fraud trends, investigation techniques, and relevant legislation.
• Utilize various databases and investigative tools to support fraud detection and prevention efforts.

Requirements

• Previous experience in insurance fraud investigation or a related field such as law enforcement or corporate security.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interviewing and evidence-gathering capabilities.
• Proficiency in using investigative software and databases.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage caseloads effectively in a remote setting .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement.
